Do I need a doctor’s referral to come to Physiotherapy?
No, a referral from your doctor is not required to receive Physiotherapy. However, WCB and ICBC claims and some private
insurance companies require a doctors referral before providing extended coverage. So it is best to check your personal plan.

My doctor gave me a referral to another Physiotherapy clinic but I would rather come to your clinic.
Can I choose what clinic I would like to go to?
Yes. Even though your doctor has suggested another clinic you may attend a Physiotherapy Clinic of your choice.
However we do like to contact your physician and communicate that you are attending our clinic.

How long is the average Physiotherapy session?
Typically each treatment session can range from 30-60 minutes, depending upon the injury.
Please arrive 15 minutes early on your first appointment to fill out personal information forms.

Do I need to bring anything to my appointment?
Doctor’s referral (if you have one)
Personal Health Number (Care card)
ICBC Patients - Dr. Referral, claim #, case manager’s name and number
WCB Patients - Dr. Referral, claim #, case manager’s name and number
Shorts - Recommended if you are being treated for a back, hip, upper leg, or knee problem. We also have lovely gowns for your convenience.
Shoes & orthotics - If you have a lower extremity injury related to a sport it may be helpful for you to bring whatever shoes
(including orthotics) you use to participate in that sport.

Will my extended benefits cover Physiotherapy?
Most benefits packages will cover Physiotherapy treatments. The extent of coverage varies with each individual policy.

Does MSP cover my Physiotherapy?
Medical Services Plan will cover 10 visits per year for individuals with premium assistance.
Please call us to check whether you are eligible for MSP coverage.
